We were proud to exhibit at this year’s Tees Valley Business Summit, held on 4th July at Teesside University. The event brought together a wide range of businesses, training providers and public sector partners from across the region—and it was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate and celebrate everything that makes Tees Valley thrive.
For Tees Apprenticeships, the summit was a chance to meet employers who are genuinely invested in creating pathways for young people and upskilling their teams. We had great conversations with like-minded individuals who share our focus on building sustainable careers across sectors like health, social care, education and public services.
It was also encouraging to see how much local investment is being directed towards skills, training and business growth. From the new Teesworks Skills Academy to the £20 million SME Growth Programme, the region is clearly backing its people—and especially its future workforce—with the right support and infrastructure.
Seeing this level of commitment reinforces the value of what we do. Apprenticeships are no longer seen as just an alternative to university—they are vital to economic growth and social mobility in areas like Teesside.
We’d like to thank the organisers for delivering such a valuable event. We’re already looking forward to the next one.
If you met us at the summit and want to continue the conversation—or explore how apprenticeships could benefit your business—get in touch. We’re always ready to help.
